From March 23 to 26, iT.eam was in San Francisco for another edition of RSA Conference, once again joining the Dutch delegation at the NL Pavilion.
More than a space for announcements, RSAC continues to establish itself as one of the key moments of the year to understand how cybersecurity is evolving in practice. Throughout the week, it became clear that discussions are increasingly less about isolated tools and more about how organizations are dealing with complex decisions in high-pressure environments.
Conversations around AI governance, operational maturity, risk posture, and shared responsibility emerged consistently, regardless of industry or region. Across different contexts, the challenges proved to be surprisingly similar.
<h2 data-start="1039" data-end="1112">Insight Sessions: bringing decisions to the center of the conversation</h2>
As part of our participation in the event, we hosted a series of <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7440101746842181632">Insight Sessions at the iT.eam booth</a> in the NL Pavilion. The goal was to foster direct, practical discussions connected to the real challenges organizations are facing today.
The sessions, lasting 15 to 20 minutes, explored different dimensions of cybersecurity.
Jeffrey Macre, Principal OT Security Solutions Architect at Darktrace, addressed security in OT environments within the context of hybrid warfare and cyber-physical threats, highlighting how the convergence of digital and physical worlds increases the complexity of protection.
Albert Puah, Worldwide Sales Leader at IBM, explored the challenges of preparing cryptography strategies for the future, especially considering the advancement of quantum computing and its implications for data protection.
Paulo Arruda, Cybersecurity and Compliance Executive at Microsoft, discussed unified security, emphasizing the importance of consolidating different sources and tools into a single, integrated view.
Filipi Pires, Head of Technical Advocacy at Scythe, addressed the importance of adversary emulation as a way to validate security controls in real-world scenarios, going beyond traditional testing and aligning defense with the attacker’s logic.
More than presentations, these sessions reinforced a central point: effective security depends on the ability to continuously test, validate, and adjust decisions.
<h2 data-start="2798" data-end="2860">Presence and exchange: the role of connections at the event</h2>
Throughout the week, our team was on-site engaging in conversations with customers, partners, and other industry leaders. Representing iT.eam were Thomaz Russi (CEO), Dirceu Soares (COO), Carla Oliveira (Sales Director), Singrid Teixeira (International Expansion Manager), and Fabiana Tinoco (Marketing Manager).
These interactions reinforced one of the key takeaways from RSAC: although contexts may vary, the tensions organizations face are increasingly similar.
Balancing speed and control. Reducing the gap between strategy and execution. Making decisions with incomplete information.
This is the context in which peer exchange becomes essential.
<h2 data-start="3683" data-end="3711">What RSAC 2026 reinforces</h2>
RSAC does not define the future of cybersecurity, but it helps reveal where it is already taking shape.
What became clear throughout this edition is that complexity continues to grow, and the response to this scenario depends less on new tools and more on organizations’ ability to better structure their decisions.
More than following trends, the challenge lies in consistently connecting technology, people, and business context.

With the event coming to an end, the focus shifts to what comes next.
The conversations that began in San Francisco continue within organizations, in processes, decisions, and priorities that will be defined in the coming months.
