On May 13, we held IBM Maximo Meeting 2026. Hosted annually by iT.eam in partnership with IBM in Rio de Janeiro, the event brings together clients, specialists, and companies that experience asset management in practice.
This year’s edition was centered around the theme “Intelligence, Mobility, and Efficiency”, connecting discussions about technology, operations, and the challenges organizations face within their maintenance and asset environments.
The event was built around something that truly makes a difference in day-to-day operations: the exchange between companies that are implementing, adapting, and evolving their processes with IBM Maximo.

There is an important difference between talking about operational transformation and hearing companies share what actually happens inside their operations. Throughout the event, the cases presented demonstrated exactly that.
The challenges are no longer limited to technology adoption, but rather how to make management more integrated, mobile, efficient, and connected to operational reality.
With each edition of the event, it becomes increasingly clear that the discussions are evolving. The scenarios brought by clients are becoming more specific, more mature, and closer to the decisions that truly impact productivity, availability, and operational efficiency.
It was in this context that the event opened space for conversations about mobility, AI, process modernization, and the strategic use of data within Maximo.

One of the highlights of IBM Maximo Meeting 2026 was the <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7462215437108264960">case presented</a> by Grupo Oleoplan. Gabriel Ribeiro and Jocemir Ferst shared how the organization advanced toward a 100% mobile maintenance operation by digitizing processes and reducing dependence on manual workflows within industrial environments.
The project represented more than an interface change. It was a true operational transformation.
Maintenance execution started happening directly through tablets, secure mobile devices, and kiosks. This enabled the creation of a more integrated, agile routine aligned with the dynamics of the operation.
The case also showed how mobility is not only about convenience, but also about generating greater traceability, execution speed, and management visibility.

In addition to Oleoplan, the event featured presentations from Brava Energia and Foresea, bringing different perspectives on asset management challenges.
Brava presented a case focused on transforming work permit issuance using <a href="https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/masv-and-l/maximo-manage/cd?topic=overview-maximo-mobile">IBM Maximo Mobile</a>, connecting mobility, safety, and operational processes.

Foresea shared its migration journey to <a href="https://it-eam.com/en/eam/solutions">IBM Maximo Application Suite 9 (MAS 9)</a>, including the modernization of infrastructure and data environments involved in the operation.
Even in different contexts, the cases reinforced a common point: maintenance increasingly depends on integration between operations, data, mobility, and technological adaptability.
<h3 data-section-id="15dbj2o" data-start="3947" data-end="3981">New possibilities within Maximo</h3>
We also had a presentation by Luca Bovi, IBM Build Ecosystem Executive, focused on trends and new developments.
Discussions emerged around <a href="https://www.ibm.com/us-en/products/watsonx">WatsonX</a>, AppPoints, and other possibilities that are beginning to impact how companies analyze information, structure processes, and make decisions within Maximo.
In practice, what we increasingly see is reduced manual effort, greater visibility, faster analysis, and quicker, more contextualized decisions.

One of the most important characteristics of IBM Maximo Meeting is the environment created for exchanges between organizations facing similar challenges.
Throughout the event, clients, specialists, and partners shared experiences, lessons learned, and perspectives related to asset management and maintenance.
This dynamic transforms the event into much more than a series of technical presentations. It becomes an environment for benchmarking, collaboration, and collective knowledge building.
And very often, these conversations are precisely what help companies identify paths forward, validate decisions, and accelerate initiatives within their own operations.
IBM Maximo Meeting 2026 reinforced how asset management is becoming increasingly connected to operational intelligence and the strategic use of data.
At the same time, the event showed that technological evolution does not happen in isolation.
